About Ghost Motorfest

Ghost Motorfest is a one-day indoor car and motorcycle festival at Newlands Cricket Grounds, Cape Town — 70+ cars, 20+ motorcycles, four themed halls, live music and a VIP area, run and sponsored by NyxoEVENTS and Keyword Technology (Pty) Ltd.

What it is

Ghost Motorfest is a first-edition indoor motor festival: a car show, a motorcycle display and an evening of live music in one venue, on Sunday 29 November 2026. It runs across two adjoining buildings so the whole show — the cars, the bikes, the stage, the food and the VIP area — is under a roof and never at the mercy of the Cape weather.

The idea is a show built around the machines people actually own and use, presented as an exhibition rather than a car park, with enough of a festival around it to make a day of it.

Who runs it

Ghost Motorfest is run and sponsored by NyxoEVENTS and Keyword Technology (Pty) Ltd, with the ticketing handled by our partner Quicket and our own box office alongside it. The festival office answers questions by email at info@ghostfest.co.za and on the toll-free line 0800 233 752.

The event works with the venue and its neighbours to keep traffic and noise managed on the day, and with local traders and vendors who run stands on site.

The venue

Newlands Cricket Grounds is a sporting landmark in Newlands, and the adjoining Snakepit Museum gives the show a second indoor hall under the same roof line. The main hall is 816 m² of clear span, which is what allows a full exhibition layout with proper aisles and lighting rather than a grid of parked cars.

There is a full Getting there page with directions, parking and local information, and the venue details are also set out on every page's footer.

Why indoors

An outdoor car show in Cape Town is a gamble on the weather, and a wet floor is a bad place to look at paint, wheels and fitment. Running indoors means the display is always at its best, the lighting is under the organisers' control, and a ticket is worth the same on a sunny day or a stormy one.

It also lets the show run into the evening with live music and a DJ, turning a static display into a one-day festival.
